Cod Liver – A Pure Icelandic Delicacy
A very tasty and healthy delicacy that is worth including in your diet. iCan cod liver is rich in omega 3 fatty acids and vitamins A and D, which support immunity, heart and brain health.
The Icelandic company iCan processes cod liver no later than 72 hours after being caught from fresh fish, without dyes and preservatives, only with the addition of salt. Thanks to special packaging in aluminum cans, they have a long shelf life of up to 5 years, yet they retain their pure taste and a special pink-beige color, which is typical only for products made from fresh cod liver.
After opening, we recommend storing the liver for a maximum of 2 days in the refrigerator in a sealable glass container.
Cod liver is ideal for spreads, canapés, toasted bread, or salads. During sterilization, the liver will release natural fish oil, which we recommend not to discard – you can use it as part of a sauce or enjoy it on its own with a spoon, for children and adults.
