Tuna fillets in Nduja Calabrese sauce. Nduja is a traditional Calabrian product consisting of pork meat seasoned with pepper and local hot peppers.
Combined with tuna, it is a specialty suitable for pasta or with pastries as an appetizer.
If you are after quality and a pleasant dining experience, you don't have to reach only for our frozen fish: gourmets know that even canned fish can be great. We at Boxxi are most fond of the traditional Italian producer Callipo.
Giacinto Callipo founded the company in 1913 in Pizzo, a beautiful town in Calabria that is historically known for its tuna fishing and processing. Even after more than 100 years of operation, the company's philosophy is centered on quality, transparency, simplicity of ingredients and respect for nature.
Callipo uses only high quality ingredients of known origin - the yellowfin tuna, after being caught in the Atlantic Ocean, is immediately deep-frozen on board the fishing boat and transported to the town of Maierato, where the company is now based and where the tuna is processed. A number of Callipo's products, such as their tuna fillets, are produced only by hand and in accordance with the strictest food safety measures.
