Omnom Chocolates

We would like to introduce you to the Icelandic company Omnom, which supplies us with their delicious, and for us unusual, chocolates. The company was founded in 2013 by two friends in Reykjavík - passionate chef Kjartan Gíslason and entrepreneur Óskar Þórðarson - who have combined their passions and beliefs to produce small batches of chocolate bars using the finest cocoa beans from around the world and a range of distinctive ingredients.

Gíslason has worked as a chef in Iceland, Luxembourg, Norway, and Sweden. His passion for food and his affinity for pastries and desserts led him to chocolate. He joined the bean-to-bar movement and dedicated himself to producing it in their back-to-basics style. At first he set to making single-origin bars, but soon began experimenting with flavours. Together with his childhood friend Þórðarson, they set up a modest production lab inside a converted gas station in Reykjavik, and OmNom was born.

The company's mission is to produce the best possible chocolate from the finest produce. Cocoa beans from a single origin from Madagascar, Tanzania, or Nicaragua, organic sugar cane, natural Icelandic milk powder, and all of this sourced with individual care where ethics, sustainability, and transparency are the heart of the process. OmNom purchases all ingredients directly for the opportunity to have the measure of all social, environmental, and economic impacts.

And so because our philosophies are very similar in terms of ethics and quality, and especially because OmNom chocolates are so "divine", you can get them as an eye-catching gift or as a sweet full stop after a fish dinner on our e-shop.
