The striking colour of a partridge eye with a rusty-coppery tone. The aroma is captivating with the gentle manifestation of redcurrant, strawberry jelly, raspberry, and lilac. The flavour is refreshing and full, spicy and enduring, with notes of blackberry, redcurrant each playing their part.
This artisan winery is located in Čejkovic in the Greater Pavlovice region of South Moravia. It specialises in the production of a limited selection of "přívlastkové" wine (ie. the highest category of wines according to the Czech wine law, corresponding to the familiar "Appellation d'origine contrôlée" found on French wines). These wines are produced from vines which have been expertly thinned to reduce yield with a compensatory increase in quality. The focus of the winery is the production of dry wines which are, for the most part, matured in barrels.
This family winery is the vocation and everyday challenge of Jakub Šamšula. The wines are divided into four categories (Traditionnel, Bouquet, Grand Pinot, and Naturel) according to their origin, variety, and the methods used in their maturation.
