The wine has a bright yellow colour with flashes of a greenish hue. The aroma leads with the bright tones of apple puree and cinammon. Following this are the aromatic notes of the variety itself. The fuller-body of this Veltliner carries a lasting spiciness that climaxes in the tones of green pepper and unpeeled almonds.
This small winery, specialising in the production of high quality wines, was established in 2014. Mojmír Baroň and Zdeněk Pavlů produce their wines in a 200-year-old cellar with the exclusive use of grapes originating in the Lednice district. Their aim is to use the region's natural potential to its maximum, reflect the unique terroir of Lednice, and minimise the number or interventions during production. Their annual production stands at around 25,000 bottles and is divided into small batches of around 1,000 bottles.
A clearly defined range of products, a sensible spectrum of types of wine, and most of all quality and style, ensure that Domaine Eisgrub of Lednice has all of the requisites for the best that Moravia can produce.
