Wild garlic grows in forests and wetlands in central and eastern Europe. The leaves, which have a pleasant aroma and taste similar to garlic and leek, are used in cooking.
The herb is used cold, as it quickly loses its flavour and aroma with heat. It is excellent in spreads, herb butters, for seafood or cheese.
